Fingerprint Requirements
BAIL BONDSMAN OR BAIL BOND RUNNER LICENSE APPLICANTS
An applicant for a professional bail bondsman, surety bail bondsman, or bal bond runner’s license shall furnish the Commissioner with a complete set of the applicant’s fingerprints pursuant to North Carolina G.S. 58-71-51. Fingerprints submission requirements are outlined in North Carolina Administrative Code 11 NCAC 13.0519
Applicants will need to submit fingerprints within 30 days of applying for a license by following the instructions in the bail bond license application.

Bail Bondsmen Or Bail Bond Runner Renewal Requirements
In even-numbered years, professional bail bondsmen, surety bail bondsmen, and bail bond runners are required to furnish the Commissioner with a complete set of fingerprints for a state and federal criminal history background check pursuant to North Carolina G.S. 58-71-75. The renewal fingerprint submission requirements are outlined in North Carolina Administrative Code 11 NCAC 13.0519.
Fingerprint submission is not required in odd-numbered years.
The renewal application and instructions for even-numbered years will include the required fingerprint submission forms and information.
