All registrants must have received an exam approval letter from the Pyrotechnics Licensing Section of OSFM prior to registering for an on-line exam.
You will receive an e-mail with your ID and Password. The e-mail used for this process must be unique to you. Due to password and confidentiality restrictions, a business e-mail accessed by several individuals cannot be used. The password and e-mail will only be activated for one session. ONCE THE SESSION BEGINS IT CANNOT BE EXITED AND RESUMED. If you exit the session, your progress will be lost and you will be graded on the portion of the exam you have completed. The process will take a total of approximately 2 - 2.5 hours. The 1.3 Pyro. Assistant candidate should be sure that they have ample time to complete the lesson and test. The session begins when the candidate signs in prior to the presentation and test. An ID and password will not be issued until the $10.00 fee for testing is received by the Pyrotechnics Licensing Section. Checks can be made payable to "The North Carolina Department of Insurance."
PLEASE NOTE: The required application approval must be successfully completed prior to registration for an on-line exam. All required documentation and fees must be submitted prior to the registration form or the form will not be processed!
