| Online Resident Licensing Through NIPR |

NC will process resident license applications for individuals and business entities which meet one of the following criteria:
- licensing examination is not required;
- the applicant is exempt from the exam; or
- the applicant held the same license authority in another state and relocated to NC in the past 90 days.
Currently available for ALL resident license applications are the following:
- Broker, Viatical Settlement Broker, Credit Agent, Limited Representatives, Motor Vehicle Damage Appraiser, Auto Rental Limited License, Self-Service Storage Limited License, Corporations, and Partnerships.
Available on a LIMITED BASIS for resident license applications ONLY for individuals who are exempt or waived from exam are the following:
- Six major lines of authority, Medicare Supplement & Long Term Care, Self-Employed Adjuster, Company/independent Firm Adjuster, Public Adjuster, Surplus Lines, Auto Physical Damage Appraiser, and Title Insurance.
* All licensing fees are non-refundable so individuals applying for these licenses will need to ensure that they meet the qualifications for exemption or waiver from exam requirements.
