- BAIL BOND SURETY INSURANCE COMPANY INFORMATION
The Department of Insurance’s Financial Evaluations Division has provided the Agent Services Division with an updated list of surety insurance companies that are active and approved to write new bail bond business in North Carolina. Agent Services Division has communicated these updates to the Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) for the Electronic Bondsmen Registry information. The Electronic Bondsmen Registry will not display the active appointments of surety bail bondsmen to surety insurance companies that are not approved to write new bail bond business.
There were no surety bail bondsmen appointments cancelled in this update. Surety bail bondsmen can view their active surety insurance company appointment information via the individual licensee lookup on the Department’s website: https://sbs-nc.naic.org/Lion-Web/jsp/sbsreports/AgentLookup.jsp. On the licensee list displayed after conducting the surety bail bondsman license search, click on the surety bondsman’s highlighted name and the list of active surety insurance company appointments will display.
