| The Financial Examination Section conducts on-site examinations of insurance companies and other similar or related entities under North Carolina jurisdiction to determine financial condition, legality and propriety of operations and fair and equitable treatment of all policyholders. An Examination Report is prepared based on the results of the field examination. The work is guided by state laws and regulations, departmental policies and procedures, and the National Association of Insurance Commissioners. |
