Responsibilites

• review for prior approval of all filings for life, health and credit insurance policy forms, long term care forms, Medicare Supplement forms, and rates; managed care provider network contract forms and health care provider contract forms (click FORM & RATE FILINGS - CONTRACTS menu item in left margin for these specific categories)
• the licensing of Third Party Administrators (TPAs);
• licensing of Viatical Settlement Providers;
• the licensing of Multiple Employer Welfare Arrangements(MEWA);
• coordinate Health Maintenance Organizations(HMO)licensure and license modifications, review for compliance non-financial operational policies and procedures;
• review Preferred Provider Organization(PPO) plans for compliance of non-financial operational policies and procedures;
• regulation of non-financial operations of HMOs, PPOs, and MEWAs;
• review of Medicare Select plans and operations filings
• receive required notifications related to Charitable Gift Annuities
• review Assumption Reinsurance transactions and related forms involving life or health insurance, or annuity business
