| Wilson Woman Arrested on Insurance Fraud Charges | |
| RALEIGH -- Insurance Commissioner Jim Long today announced the arrest of Dorothy Faye Joyner, 58, of 4858 Saint Mary's Church Rd., Wilson. Joyner was charged with three counts of obtaining property by false pretense, was processed at the Wilson County Detention center and received a $7,500 bond. The Wilson County Sheriff's Department assisted with the case. | |
| The charges stem from allegations that Joyner received mileage reimbursement payments pursuant to a workers compensation claim. The mileage reimbursement was allegedly made for trips to therapy sessions that Joyner had cancelled. Joyner allegedly received nearly $3,000 from her insurance company. | |
