Information for Former Castleton Clients and Employees
RALEIGH -- The Castleton Group, Inc. announced yesterday that, effective immediately, it will cease operations and services to clients including payroll processing, benefits administration, workers’ compensation, and human resources.
The Department recommends that client companies contact their insurance agents and attorneys as soon as possible. Companies that choose to seek services from another professional employer organization have 90 licensed organizations in North Carolina from which to choose. A list of licensed PEOs can be found here.
The Department’s Web site also has a list of licensed individual health insurance carriers and small group health insurance carriers. Small group carriers may not refuse coverage to a small employers (50 employees or less) seeking a new policy. The Department can also provide information about obtaining workers compensation coverage.
