Mebane's Tim Bradley, Assistant State Fire Marshal, Earns International Recognition
Raleigh -- Insurance Commissioner and State Fire Marshal Wayne Goodwin is pleased to announce that Tim Bradley, Senior Deputy Commissioner and Assistant State Fire Marshal, has been named a Fellow by the Institution of Fire Engineers in Glouchestershire, UK.
The IFE has more than 12,000 members worldwide, but fewer than 200 have achieved the grade of Fellow. Bradley is recognized for his work in the fire service and with the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress. One of his many accomplishments was co-authoring a paper on Accreditation of Fire Service Training and Education Internationally.
"I felt truly honored to receive this designation from such a prestigious group, especially since it was based on efforts toward accrediting fire and rescue efforts internationally," Bradley said.
"It is wonderful to have someone who shows such dedication and breadth of knowledge in the area of fire and rescue helping lead our staff in the Office of State Fire Marshal," said Commissioner Goodwin. "I congratulate Tim Bradley on a continuing job well done."
Bradley, a native of Mebane, has been in the fire service for over 36 years. He began his career with Mebane Fire and Rescue, where he held the position of chief for seven years. He has since served as chairman of the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress for 14 years and chairman of the National Fire Protection Association Professional Qualification Committee for Fire Instructors for 15 years.
