Stolen Ring Claims Lead to Vance County Woman's Arrest
RALEIGH -- Insurance Commissioner Wayne Goodwin today announced the arrest of Tashala Johnson, 28, of 150 Freedom Lane, Henderson; she was charged with two counts of attempting to obtain property by false pretense.
Department of Insurance criminal investigators allege that on Dec. 18, 2013, and on March 12, 2014, Johnson submitted fraudulent claims to separate insurance companies in an attempt to collect money for a ring she claims was stolen.
Johnson was arrested on July 14 and placed under a $75,000 bond.
