Man Accused of Presenting False Insurance Document to Employer

RALEIGH -- Insurance Commissioner Wayne Goodwin today announced the arrest of Wade Valentino Hankins, 49, of 2201 Bufflehead Road, Raleigh; he is charged with one count of attempting to obtain property by false pretense in Durham County.

Department of Insurance criminal investigators allege Hankins used a fraudulent commercial liability insurance certificate to obtain gainful employment with Ambrose Industrial Service in March 2015.

Hankins was arrested on Sept. 11 by the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office and placed under a $10,000 unsecured bond.
