Office of State Fire Marshal to Present Special Achievement Awards to both Greensboro and High Point Fire Departments

WHO: North Carolina Department of Insurance, Office of State Fire Marshal, Greensboro Fire Department, High Point Fire Department, Guilford Merchants Association.

WHAT: In conjunction with Fire Prevention Week, Insurance Commissioner and State Fire Marshal Wayne Goodwin will present awards to the Greensboro and High Point Fire Departments for achieving the highest possible inspections rating, the ISO Class 1.

2602 South Elm-Eugene St.

Parking will be in front of the city complex located at 2602 South Elm-Eugene St., Greensboro.

WHY: The North Carolina Department of Insurance Office of the State Fire Marshal is recognizing Greensboro Fire Department and High Point Fire Department for achieving the ISO Class 1 rating. This major achievement reduces the property insurance premiums in these jurisdictions. The celebration coincides with Fire Prevention Week and fire service leaders need to emphasize the importance of fire safety to the public.
