North Carolina Department of Insurance Celebrates Opening of Charlotte Regional Office with Support of Fire Service Leaders
WHO: Department of Insurance, Office of State Fire Marshal, Charlotte Fire Department, State Fire Service Office, Municipal Fire Chiefs, Fire/Rescue Chiefs and County Fire Marshals from Cabarrus, Gaston, Iredell, Lincoln, Mecklenburg and Union Counties.
WHAT: In conjunction with Fire Prevention Week, the North Carolina Department of Insurance and Office of State Fire Marshal opens its Charlotte Regional Office. Opening will include a ceremonial hose uncoupling, Charlotte Fire Department Pipes and Drums, the National Anthem and award presentation to the Charlotte Fire Department by Insurance Commissioner and State Fire Marshal Wayne Goodwin.

Open House: 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.
Opening Ceremony: 3 p.m.
WHERE: Media parking in closed lane in front of North Carolina Department of Insurance Charlotte Regional Office at 301 South McDowell St., Charlotte.
WHY: With the support of fire service personnel, the North Carolina Department of Insurance is opening a Charlotte Regional Office to provide more services to citizens in and near the Charlotte-Mecklenburg area. The celebration coincides with Fire Prevention Week and fire service leaders need to emphasize the importance of fire safety and recognize the Charlotte Fire Department for achieving the highest possible protection classification rating - ISO Class 1.
