State Fire Marshal and Local Fire Departments to Deliver Meals, Safety Tips to New Hanover County Seniors
WHO: State Fire Marshal Wayne Goodwin, New Hanover County Fire Rescue and Wilmington Fire Department
WHAT: In conjunction with Fire Prevention Week, Insurance Commissioner and State Fire Marshal Wayne Goodwin, New Hanover County Fire Chief Donnie Hall and Wilmington Fire Chief Buddy Martinette will visit homes in New Hanover County to deliver meals to seniors and check their smoke alarms.

WHY: The North Carolina Office of State Fire Marshal is observing Fire Prevention Week by promoting fire prevention and fire safety. The efforts include reaching vulnerable populations, such as people who are homebound or unable to check, change the batteries in, or replace their smoke alarms.
