Public Invited to Free Medicare Event
RALEIGH -- North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Wayne Goodwin, Cherokee County Senior Services and the Seniors’ Health Insurance Information Program invite residents of western North Carolina to join them at a Medicare Town Hall Meeting in Andrews on April 7.
SHIIP staff and volunteers will provide information and answer questions about Medicare, preventive services and Extra Help, a federal subsidy for Medicare beneficiaries with limited incomes and assets to assist with prescription drug costs.
The Town Hall will be followed by a Medicare 101 Class. Both events are free and open to the public. For more information, contact email@example.com or 855-408-1212.
