Johnston County Agent Charged with Five Counts of Insurance Fraud
RALEIGH -- Insurance Commissioner Wayne Goodwin today announced the arrest of Catherine Ann Davis, 59, of 5240 Glendale Road, Kenly; she is charged with five counts each of insurance fraud and obtaining property by false pretense.
Department of Insurance criminal investigators accuse Davis of presenting fraudulent statements as an insurance agent to AFLAC Insurance Company to support claims for payment from July 2014 to July 2016. Investigators allege Davis fabricated identities and medical records to support these claims.
Davis was arrested on Aug. 15 in Johnston County and placed under a $24,500 bond.
